Summary
“I’m screwed.”
Jeong Yeonjae wakes up possessing the body of Reneezmia Dainis, the heroine of the very novel she had been serializing herself. Her only goal is to escape from her abusive tyrant husband, Ricard Sainer.
But before she can even make it past the mansion garden, she runs straight into him.
“There you are. I’ve come to escort you to our bedchamber.”
Though she speaks as if she had been waiting for her, anyone could tell from her appearance that she was attempting a midnight escape. Dumbfounded, Ricard immediately locks her away.
“You pretended to be insane in hopes that I would abandon you. Once something falls into my hands, I have no intention of letting it go.”
As if things could not get worse, Ricard discovers the letters she exchanged with “Traveler J” while planning her escape.
“‘Dear Miss Mia?’ So you were planning to start a new life with this traveler—or rather, some womanizing bastard?”
Cornered by accusations mixed with assumptions she never even planned, Reneezmia blurts out a lie laced with truth to save herself.
“I only wanted to start a business to help support the household!”
“Fine. Do it. Who knows if you’d just try to run away again under the excuse that I stopped you?”
And so, under Ricard’s watchful eye, she ends up opening a café—something that never existed in the original story—and becomes its owner.
Is it because the plot has strayed so far from the original? Or because the café becomes far more successful than expected?
The more she works toward her dream of a perfect divorce from her tyrant husband, the more Reneezmia’s plans begin to unravel.
